About Us
The Excel Center provides adults (over age 18) the opportunity and support to earn a high school diploma and begin post-secondary education.
The Center is operated by Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., established by Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana in 2004, and is a mayor-sponsored public charter school. The mission of GEI is to develop charter schools to prepare young people and adults for productive lives. The charter for The Excel Center was approved May 17, 2010.
GEI also operates Indianapolis Metropolitan High School designed to help increase the high school graduation rate and the percentage of graduates who enroll in post-secondary education and training.
